Original Copy specializes in editorial, curatorial, and communications projects within architecture and design.

Working across multiple platforms, the office strives to generate new productive content and open conversation, reexamining how architecture and design are presented and discussed, and focusing on discourse beyond the mere presentation of completed work.

Original Copy was founded by Julia van den Hout in 2014, and is a certified women-owned business enterprise (WBE).

Julia van den Hout is an architecture and design writer, editor, and curator.

Prior to founding Original Copy, she was the Press Director at Steven Holl Architects, and she was a founding editor of CLOG.

Originally from Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Julia has a BA from NYU and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts.
